About Historic Saint Paul AME Church
Welcome to Historic Saint Paul AME Church! 160 Years of Faith, Family, Fellowship, and Forward Movement! For 160 years, Historic Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church has been a beacon of faith, hope, and service in the Independence, Missouri community. Rooted in a rich legacy of worship, resilience, and social transformation, we are a congregation that honors where we've been while boldly embracing where God is leading us! At HSP, we believe that we are imperfect people serving a perfect and loving God! That means you don't have to have it all together to belong here. You don't have to know all the answers, have a perfect past, or even know exactly where you are on your faith journey. There's room for YOU! We are a church where generations connect, faith comes alive, relationships are built, and lives are transformed through the love of Jesus Christ. Our commitment extends beyond the walls of the sanctuary as we seek to make a meaningful difference in our neighborhoods, our community, and the world. As part of the historic African Methodist Episcopal Church, we embrace a faith that calls us not only to worship God but also to serve humanity, pursue justice, uplift our neighbors, and put our beliefs into action. Our history is rich, but our future is still being written! Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church, searching for a spiritual home, or simply looking for a community where you can grow, we invite you to experience HSP for yourself. Come as you are. Grow with us. Serve alongside us. And discover what God can do through ordinary people who are willing to live with extraordinary faith!
