Church announcements fail for one reason: they say what is happening and not why anyone should care or what to do next.
Below are twelve you can fill in and send. First, four rules that matter more than the wording.
1. One announcement, one action. If you ask for three things, you get none. Every announcement below has exactly one.
2. Put the ask in the first line. People read one line on a phone. Bury the ask and it is not there.
3. Specific beats enthusiastic. "Tuesday at 7 in the fellowship hall" beats "you do not want to miss this."
4. Name a person. "Text Denise at 555-0148" gets a response. "Contact the church office" does not.

Announce important things three times, and change the message each time.
| When | Message |
|---|---|
| 2 weeks out | What it is and why it matters |
| 3 days out | The logistics: time, place, what to bring |
| Day of | One line: "Tonight at 7. See you there." |
Repeating the identical text three times trains people to skip it.
Every announcement spends attention you do not get back. Cut these:

LeadMyFlock has an AI announcement writer that turns a rough note into something clear in your voice, and pushes it to your congregation's phones. But these templates work in a group text, and the rules matter more than the tool.
